The cult play, Audicija, which was first put on 33 years ago and enjoyed tremendous popularity back in the 1980s, is set to return to the stage in its original form.

The premiere will be held October 5 at Mirza Delibašić Hall in Sarajevo and there will be an encore performance on October 6, at the same venue. The play will visit other towns in BiH, as well as countries in the region and elsewhere in Europe, and then it is set to tour Canada, the USA and Australia.

The tour is called 033, in reference to the 33 years since Audicija first hit the stage. This is also the area code for Sarajevo, the city where it all got started.

Audicija was first performed at Obala’s open scene theater in December 1984. The cast included Emir Hadžihafizbegović, as well as Admir Glamočak, Saša Petrović, Mladen Nelević, Jasmin Geljo, Željko Ninčić and Senad Bašić, who were students at the Academy of Performing Arts at that time.
