Those who love attractive sports on the snow are sure to enjoy the FIS Europa Cup, a snowboard contest, which will be held February 11 and 12 on Štinji Dol on Bjelašnica.

Organized by the BiH Ski Association and Free Style Snowboard Club, with technical support provided by ZOI ’84, the cup is the largest annual snowboarding event in BiH and will again generate great interest among professional boarders. This year’s competition will see participants from Australia and Uganda and BiH will be represented by Haris Burić, Edis Ozturk and Stefan Lazarević.

On Saturday, February 11 visitors will be able to follow the Slopestyle downhill event (with obstacles) and on Sunday, February 12 spectators can enjoy some attractive jumps during the Big Air competition.

This year, judges who hold international licenses issued by the International Ski Federation (FIS) will be joined by two judges from BiH.

In addition to being the most important ski competition in our country, this year’s Europa Cup will serve as perfect preparation for the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF) which is set to take place in 2019 in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.
