Regina is a rock band from Sarajevo that was founded in 1989. Four friends Aleksandar Covic, Boris Milijas, Bojan Milijas and Goran Lucic founded an amateur band in 1989 but the problem they faced was a lack of the singer.

After the announcement published in the newspapers and several unsuccessful auditions they found Davor Ebner, the singer of the Sarajevo band “Convoy”.  Afterwards long and arduous discussions that lasted three months Davor agreed to cooperate. Soon after that Bojan Milicevic joined the group. Next year Regina released its first self-titled album. Author of the texts and the music was Aleksandar Covic whose songs was inspired by the Irish band U2. Such hits as “Spavaj”, “Ne pitaj me”, and “Kao nekada ona” can be found on the first album, video clips were also made and very soon this songs became a new hope of the musical stage in the former Yugoslavia.

Soon after the first album first concerts started. The concerts was only on the territory of the Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning but very soon they were on the territory of the whole former Yugoslavia. The group acquired a great number of admirers from the very beginning so for some scheduled concerts were held and additional performances. The slogan that accompanied the first album “We are not Merlin, we are Regina” was a sufficient reason to draw media attention to the new group. Rock critics agreed that the band was the successor to the legendary “Index” and “Bijelo dugme”. The euphoria called “Reginomanija” has begun.

5th of June in 2009 the band published 10th album “Vrijeme je”. On this album beside English, Russian and the Eurovision version of the song “Bistra voda” could be found 10 new songs. Such songs as “Bjezi dok sam mlad” and “Zvacu the pile moje” became hits and band made an excellent video clips for this songs.

In 2011 Regina published album called “Kad poludimo”. For the song “Kad poludimo” the band filmed a video clip in which popular Belgrade actress Nina Jankovic stared. On the album were also such songs as “Ptico mala” (duet with the former lead singer of the largest Yugoslav group “Bijelo Dugme”, Mladen Vojicec Tifa) and “Na Balkanu”.
