Nazism in Germany is gradually flourishing, the old aristocracy is collapsing and the leading positions in the country are slowly but surely taken over by Hitler's National Socialist Party.
From the moment the Reichstag building burned down to the notorious "Long Knives Night," the piece traces the layering and conflict within Nazi society, but above all through the image of the moral erosion of an elite family and their behavior in new historical circumstances.
It is a piece that, in addition to critique of unscrupulous individuals, also analyzes a society that capitulates, first and foremost, to a totalitarian vision of the world.
