The Sarajevo Cycling Club, Trek Team, will be organizing Tour de Igman, which is set to take place on May 29, 2016. This recreational bike race will cover parts of Ilidža Municipality, from the neighborhood of the same name all the way to Mount Igman
The race will cover about 30 kilometers of paved road and the event aims to connect important historic sites in Ilidža and on Igman, while also promoting cycling and environmental awareness.
Participants must register by 9:15 a.m. (the day of the race) in the parking area at the entrance to Velika Aleja. Minors may take part as long as they are accompanied by a parent and all participants must have their own protective gear and bicycles that are in good working condition.
The race will get underway at 10:00 a.m. and participants will start from Veliki Park in Ilidža. They will then make their way to Velika Aleja and pass through Jasike, Osmice, Lasički Stan, Mrazište Intersection (Ratna Džamija-Veliko Polje), and then continue on to the finish line at Veliko Polje on Mount Igman.
