Damir sees Sarajevo as one of the most important places in the world; full of history, it finds itself on the map of cities that one should visit.

Trophy destination

- People make symbolic visits to Sarajevo and also treat it as a trophy destination. This city used to be empty in July, but now it is packed with great events. When Bookstan is going on, Radićeva St. becomes an epicenter and every guest brings us a gift – a book – or just a sentence and a “breath” of different knowledge and experiences.

He is proud of the fact that this year’s Bookstan will not only host many BiH and regional writers, but also British writer Hanif Kureishi, Chinese author Xialou Guo, American literary critic and author John Freeman….

- Culture is the best way to attract guests and Sarajevo should have festivals going on from May to September, and all museums should be open on the weekends because this is a lively city and residents should be contributing more to it. The city is capable of producing unexpected things for guests.

The lovely mountains around Sarajevo, which offer excellent conditions for winter sports and a top-rate vacation, are a big reason to visit.

Wine tradition

- It is a pity that we are often unaware that we live in a Winter Olympics center because we could live off the winter and snow.

Damir usually searches for inspiration in nature and relaxes in good restaurants with a view of town. He says that Herzegovina’s wine tradition is known far and wide, as is that of Posavina, which has recently become a more active wine-producing region.

- My guests enjoy the view of town from the restaurants, Bašča Kod Ene, Park Prinčeva and Kod Bibana. We enjoy great wines that complement the menus at Vinoteka, 4 Sobe Gospođe Safije, Paper Moon, Luka Sarajevo…. Believe me, no one has left Sarajevo without praising its culture, food and BiH wines.
