Sarajevo’s famous Holiday Hotel now open!

Holiday Hotel, formerly known as Holiday Inn, is a symbol of Sarajevo and the XIV Winter Olympic Games. The facility is under new ownership and is now part of the Hotel Europe Group, which includes the following hotels in the old part of town: Europe, Art, Astra and Astra Garni.

This ten-story hotel has 400 rooms and apartments, as well as Caffe Inn and a restaurant that serves national and international fare.

Hotel will also be a region's biggest congress center, with ten conference halls with capacity of 2500 places.

Holiday Hotel also has a bar, a sweet shop, a wellness and fitness center, a congress center with nine air-conditioned conference rooms, a hair salon, a tobacco shop, boutiques, a rent-a-car office and an exchange office.

The garage has 50 parking places and the open parking area can accommodate more than 500 vehicles and buses.

Holiday Hotel is located in the center of town and is close to two shopping centers, as well as the UNITIC Business Center, various state institutions, the bus and train station, the National Museum, the Historical Museum of BiH and Wilson’s Promenade, all of which make it perfect for both business travelers and tourists who want to become more familiar with Sarajevo’s rich heritage.

Holiday Inn Hotel was built in 1983, right before the opening of the XIV Winter Olympic Games, and was designed by the well-known architect from Sarajevo, Ivan Štraus. The hotel continued to work even during the Siege of Sarajevo, when it served as a base for international news agencies.
