Branislav Nušić knew how to show the everyday life of the society he was surrounded by in his texts, and this play is a story of the society in which we live today.

This drama is based on the text by Branislav Nušić, and the play was directed by Kokan Mladenović. The adaptation of the text and songs is signed by Milena Bogavac. The playwright is Džejna Hodžić, the composer is Irena Popović Dragović, the set design is by Marijela Hashimbegović, the stage movement associate is Amila Terzimehić, and the costume designer is Lejla Hodžić.

Branislav Nušić is certainly a writer whose name is well-known, but also an inspiration to all generations of writers and playwrights from our region, who came after him. A man who was a true fighter for justice and had a mission to change the world with his actions. Because he not only said that society was not good and that the system was to blame for that, but in his comedies and dramas he masterfully ridiculed politicians, officials, ministers, but also ordinary people, and in that way raised his revolution. He even spent time in prison, and gained a reputation as a man of "dirty language and even more dirty pen." He also wrote his play The Protection in prison. It is believed that in this comedy he was more careful in satirical allusions, and had a much milder attitude.

For the first time, the play The Protection, then directed by Nikola Hajdušković, was staged at the National Theater in Sarajevo a hundred years ago, on October 23, 1921, at the very beginning of this cultural institution.

The Protection we will see on the stage of the National Theater, one hundred years after its opening and its first performance, is adapted to today's time, today's media, the world of social networks, the conflict between the old and the new generation. It deals with the same human moral and social dilemmas that prevailed a hundred years ago and at the time the text was written, and probably much, much earlier. All the problems of humanity are always the same, only the circumstances change.
