At Mejdan used to be a horse track (which is how it got its name) and is now a park on the left bank of the Miljacka River, between Ćumurija Bridge and Latin Bridge.

The center of the park is dominated by the music pavilion, which was first built in 1913, then destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt in 2004.

Here you’ll also find the At Mejdan Archaeology Park near Ćumurija Bridge, where you can see remains of the 16th-century Bakr Baba Mosque complex which used to have a madrasa (educational institution), mekteb (primary school) and harem (courtyard with a cemetery). The complex was destroyed in the 19th century.
