May in Sarajevo is beautiful. The nature is dressed up in its glorious spring clothing, so if you are arriving in May you should find the time for a visit to some of the city's surrounding picnic areas. For a shorter nature visit, we recommend Brus on Mount Trebevic, and if you want to spend an entire day in the nature, a visit to Bjelasnica's mountain villages is a must.

The most significant symbol of Sarajevo – the City Hall Building – that was burned in the summer of 1992, will reopen its doors in May 2014. After nearly 20 years of a careful restoration, the City Hall will open its doors on May 9 – the Day of Europe.

Visiting some of Sarajevo museums in May is a great way to remove yourselves from all the fuss, and we recommend Museum of Sarajevo's Svrzo's House where you can enjoy a harmony which decorated the residences of Sarajevo's residents a hundred and more years ago.
