The holiday season is over, the school year has begun and the city is full of smiling people who are making good use of the September weather by enjoying a stroll along Sarajevo’s promenades or sitting in the sun in one of the many summer gardens.

We recommend that this September you visit the eco village, Eco Futura, which is about a 20-minute drive from Sarajevo, near the village of Hreša. The Strange Forest Festival will be held here from September 12 to 14, and the program will feature performances by popular local and regional bands and DJs, all of which hope to raise environmental awareness.

You should definitely use the chance to visit Sarajevo’s most important attraction, Vijećnica, which was set on fire during the 1990s. After nearly two decades of renovation, its doors have finally re-opened.

It’s here that you can visit the exhibit, Sarajevo Vijećnica – Once again, which tells the story of its construction and renovation and the turbulent past this building has endured.
