Written by a young, yet very prolific author Boris Lalić, this text was described - in author's very words - as a "Bosnian comedy of survival". “Bosnia at Peace” is a story about two families struggling to get by.

They are brought together by hardships of war and their never-ending efforts to get out of the bleakness, poverty and eating cabbage stew and step into the light and fresh air of prosperity, or at least, to change their day-after-day menu.

An opportunity arises when Rizo, who is the only person there capable of working, persuades them to start dealing marijuana. And they do well! Extremely well. To the extent that it might eventually cost them their lives. In Bosnia, it is not easy to run a decent business, let alone set up a decent criminal organisation.
