Amira Medunjanin, the region’s most popular interpreter of sevdalinka music and traditional songs, will be giving a big concert at Zetra Olympic Hall on December 6 at 8:00 p.m.
The “Bosnian Billie Holiday” will be celebrating a music career spanning 15 years as she presents her new album, Ascending, to local audiences. The album features extraordinary jazz arrangements of traditional songs.
Amira realized her newest album by working with the Trondheim Soloists, a Norwegian chamber orchestra that has received three Grammy nominations for classical music.
Our diva will be joined on Zetra’s stage by the ensemble, along with major artists from this region, such as Bojan Zulfikarpašić, Zvonimir Šestak, Boško Jović, Ante Gelo....
The terrific Amira Medunjanin is among the top 10 “world music” singers because, with her voice and emotional interpretation, she so beautifully presents the cultural heritage of BiH and surrounding countries.
