Bentbaša Cliff Diving 2019

Organized by the Association for Promotion of Sports and Tourism "SporTur" from Sarajevo, the competition in leaps in the water will be held for the fifth time in Sarajevo.

The diving platform will be placed at a height exceeding that used in earlier years, so the competition will be even more attractive for viewers and competitors - the most successful jumpers from Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, Denmark, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year’s manifestation in Sarajevo will include cliff diving and performance diving, in accordance with similar rules used during the World Cup (Cliff Diving World Series), as well as during traditional diving competitions. 

Red Bull winners Rhiannan Iffland and Jonathan Paredes will attend this event and jump during the performance portion of the program. Australian diver Rhiannan Iffland is a three-time Red Bull Cliff Diving champion. She recently received a gold medal during the world cup in South Korea, and is currently the 2019 ranking leader, while Mexican Jonathan Paredes was the winner of the 2017 Red Bull Cliff Diving event. He took bronze at the world cup in South Korea, won the very first Red Bull Cliff Diving in Mostar and is currently in second place in world rankings.

While participating, Iffland and Paredes will also announce the Red Bull Cliff Diving competition, which is set for August 24 in Mostar, as part of the next to last event for the 2019 Red Bull Cliff Diving World Cup.

The 2019 Bentbaša Cliff Diving jumps will begin on Saturday, August 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Sarajevo’s Bentbaša, and, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., those in attendance will be able to enjoy the open air closing party, with a show by DJ duo After Affair.
