At the end of 2024, sevdalinka, a Bosnian-Herzegovinian urban folk song, was inscribed on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

With the desire to regularly present the top-tier artistic interpretation of sevdah and sevdalinka—those gems of Bosnian cultural heritage—during the summer of 2025, a series of concerts by Damir Imamović will be held at Svrzina kuća.

Damir Imamović grew up in a family that preserved sevdah from oblivion. He is the most well-known representative of "modern interpreters of sevdah," and in 2021, he was proclaimed the Best European Artist in the field of world music.

Svrzina kuća, a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a representative example of residential architecture from the Ottoman period. It was in the ambiance of such houses that longing love songs—sevdalinka—were created, often sung by girls to their loved ones.

Concerts by Damir Imamović at Svrzina kuća will be held every Wednesday during July and August. Some of these will feature performances by his guests, renowned Bosnian and regional musicians.

Tickets for Damir Imamović’s concerts at Svrzina kuća are available at a price of 35 BAM online via the platform www.karter.ba. If not sold out during presale, tickets can also be purchased two hours before the concerts at the Svrzina kuća box office. All Mastercard users receive a 15% discount on ticket prices.

The project is implemented by the Sarajevo Navigator Foundation in cooperation with the Museum of Sarajevo, with support from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the FBiH, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, Municipality Old Town Sarajevo, Mastercard, Klas, and Sarajevo International Airport.
