Opening of the exhibition "In the mirror" is planned for 5.12. at 14:00 h. Exhibition will be open for public until 1.6.2019.
The first glass mirrors were most likely made by the Romans. The mirrors came to our teritory through their mediation and, unlike their use in previous epochs, where the mirror had a sacral function, the Romans used it as an object for everyday use, especially as part of the female accessories for beautification. Accept mirrors, the exhibition will present objects from several collections of the Department of Ethnology: collections of city furniture, collection of personal items, folk costumes collection and a collection of textile processing aids.
