Jazz is always a good idea, and with Marija Šestić you cannot make a mistake. Marija Šestić is a singer who represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurosong 2007. year.
She started her career at the age of six at the kids festivals. At the performances at these festivals in BiH, she achieved remarkable results. At the age of thirteen she starts with piano study in Banja Luka. In 2003. she released her debut album and thus began her professional career.
Those who love quality gigs know that the best jazz band in town is Sarajevo Jazz Guerilla, which contributed greatly to the creation of a post-war Sarajevo jazz scene.
The repertoire consists of a multitude of improvisations and contemporary jazz fusion forms and they perform regularly with interesting guests.
Today, Sarajevo Jazz Guerilla’s members are: Darko Poljak (saxophone), Bojan Ahac (piano), Edvin Hadžić (bass), Adis Sirbubalo (accordion), Anes Beglerbegović(drums), Dino Šukalo (guitar) and Elvir Bandić Banda (vocals).
