Permanent exhibit “Sarajevo Fragments of 17th Century Safavid Carpets” features seven fragments of three Safavid carpets that were obtained at the end of the 19th century.
Only a few other carpets of this kind have been preserved in other museums around the world. Each piece has the woven signature of the master weaver and the year it was made, and there are also fragments of vase mats.
