Tikkun Olam, Repairing the World Through Human Actions, Collective Exhibit

Exhibition

Mar 04 - Mar 18 / 09:00
  1. |

As part of this international project, some 20 works of art from Croatia, North Macedonia, Israel and BiH will be on display.

All of the items come from places where lives were lost, or sites that nurture cultural memory: Jasenovac (Croatia), the Holocaust Museum (Skopje), Sarajevo’s Vijećnica….

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Jakob Finci, President of the Jewish Community in BiH. The goal of the project is to show that it can be done otherwise.

It takes place in the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and the 25th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, while divisions and extreme thinking continue to strengthen in the world.

According to Jewish tradition, Tikkun Olam means to do something with the world that will not only fix any damage, but also improve upon it.
