Those who visit the National Museum from September 23, 2017 to October 15, 2017 will have a chance to view an exhibit on Turkish archery. The official opening will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m.
The public will have a chance to see original pieces of weaponry from the Seljuk and Ottoman periods, including: bows, arrows, shields, wrist guards, quivers and other archery-related equipment used during these periods. The exhibit will also feature photos and videos on archery.
There is a certain symbolism to having the exhibit in BiH because Miralem Ahmed Aga, one of the best archers in the history of the Ottoman Empire, hailed from this part of the world.
The Sarajevo exhibit is the first of its kind to be organized outside of Turkey.
