The play Ukulele Jam is based on the novel of the same name by author Alen Mešković, and it talks about war, refugee days and rock 'n' roll.
The protagonist, a teenager named Miki, was looking forward to the summer of 1992 when he would finally turn fifteen, start going out to the city, kiss for the first time, and his brother Neno would finally return from his studio in Sarajevo.
However, in the summer of '92, Neno was taken to a camp, and Miki, along with her parents, ended up in a refugee camp in Croatia.
