The exhibition "Bogumili" consists of 20 drawings of motifs from the tombstones in the show of Swiss artist and art historian Rudolf Kutzli.
Throughout the 1970s, Rudolf Kutzli focused his eyes on the southeast of Europe and the unusual stone monuments of the Middle Ages.
First, accompanied by his wife, and occasionally by children, on regular study trips, he began to intensively seek out the spirit and the expression in which these stones were born.
And the landscapes of the stunning gossips of then-Yugoslavia were regularly part of his narratives. But the most drawn was the unusual motives he had found on the stećak, and he tried to shape their painting language in ways nobody did before.
This is what the Bogumili book was about: history, art, culture published in 1977 in the edition of Urachhaus and sold out for a long time.
