Talis Festival, a unique chamber music festival, will once again captivate Sarajevo from July 29 to August 2.

Founded in Switzerland in 2014, the festival brings together talented young artists from around the globe to perform with internationally recognized chamber musicians from Europe, the USA, and Asia.

The festival will feature three compelling concerts. It will open on July 29 at the Bosnian Cultural Center as part of „Baščaršija Nights“. The following concerts on August 1 and August 2 will take place at Dom Armije Hall. The program includes time-honored classics such as Schumann’s Piano Quintet, Op. 44, Verdi’s String Quartet in E minor, as well as premieres by guest composer Philippe Racine and academy composers Edmund Song and Matthew Hernandez.

On August 1, the focus will be on opera composers, featuring soprano Sarah Kollé. The final concert on August 2 will celebrate Swiss composers with performances of chansons, folk songs, and will close with Paul Juon’s Octet, Op. 27. Maria Wildhaber, the founder and artistic director of the festival, shares her excitement:

“The reception and interest we receive from the audience, coupled with the inspiration we draw from this historic city, make Sarajevo the perfect setting for our festival.”
