US in BiH Press Until the Beginning of World War I

In our press, the term America is first mentioned in the second issue of the Bosanski Vjestnik, which was launched in 1866.

News from far and overseas countries in Europe, and vice versa, started to come much faster than before. The news came at a speed of eight words per minute, unlike the previous ten-day boat trip - it was good news for newspaper publishers. The exhibition aims to make the public content, through newspaper articles from the then BiH the press, shows what kind of news came from a country thousands of kilometers away from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
