Disco Gripa

The first Disco Gripa took place back in 2002 at the former Access club, originally as a playful parody of the cult film Saturday Night Fever.

The event was started by Dino Ćatović, better known as DJ Nodi, who at the time was just starting out as a radio DJ on EFM Student Radio.

More than 20 years later, DJ Nodi is now one of Sarajevo’s most recognized DJs, and Disco Gripa has grown into a phenomenon of the city’s club scene, drawing a bigger crowd with each edition. Lately, its home has been the amphitheater of the iconic Dom mladih at Skenderija, where monthly “disco intergenerational gatherings” take place.

Though mostly devoted to classic disco, Disco Gripa remains fresh and fun. Alongside hits from the Bee Gees, Donna Summer, Chic and others, Nodi’s playlist also features modern artists like Dua Lipa, proof that disco never truly went out of style.

If you're in Sarajevo when Disco Gripa is on, throw on your best '70s or '80s outfit and get ready to dance till dawn. The next party is set for July 5, with a special edition during the Sarajevo Film Festival. Follow Skenderija Center on FB and IG for exact dates.
