Duo in progress - Arve Henriksen and Christian Fennesz will be performing on the fourth night of 19th Jazz Fest.

Arve Henriksen was born in 1968 in Norway. He studied at the Trondheim Conservatory, and has worked as a freelance musician since 1989. 

Henriksen has played in many different contexts, bands and projects. He has composed music to Bale Jazz, Vossa Jazz, "My own private furry" (dance performance), "FRED" (theatre performance), and music for films and documentary programs. Arve has received many awards for his work and he has an extensive discography counting over 140 records in total.

Christian Fennesz was born in 1962 in Austria. This Austrian guitarist active in electronic music, often credited on recordings simply as Fennesz. He started playing guitar around the age of 8 or 9 and studied music formally in art school. Christian uses guitar and notebook computers while creating his music and he is best known for 2001's album Endless Summer.
