The entire neighborhood of Mojmilo was laid out right before the 1984 WOG were held and it was home to the Olympic Village, which provided housing for all of the athletes. The sports hall in Mojmilo was originally intended for use as a training facility for Olympic athletes.
The facility went up in flames during the last war (1992-1995), was renovated in the early 2000s and re-opened in February 2007 with the name, Ramiz Salčin Sports Hall. This complex is named after Ramiz Salčin, one of the organizers for the defense of Sarajevo during the last war.
This multifunctional sports hall, which has a seating capacity of around 1,500, is home to several Sarajevo sports clubs and offers visitors various sports and recreational activities.
