Roman Petrović Gallery bears the name of the first President of the ULUBiH (BiH Association of Artists). He was also a major BiH painter during the 20th century.

Roman Petrović (1896-1947) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and the Fine Arts High School in Budapest and then completed his training in Paris.
He taught drawing, was a production designer for the National Theater in Sarajevo and played a key role in giving BiH art forms a more prominent place on the post-WWI arts scene.
Roman Petrović Gallery was founded in 1980 at the behest of the BiH Association of Artists.
Given its commitment to quality, the gallery has earned the status as one of the most prestigious exhibition spaces in BiH’s capital city. It is located in the center of Sarajevo and occupies 103m2.
