It is located on the ground floor of the museum, which is housed in the old Despić family house (19th century), a fine cultural-historical monument in its own right.
The gallery began operations in 1992 and has been used primarily as an exhibition space for events related to the Museum of Literature and the Performing Arts, as well as guest exhibits, and it also hosts literary evenings.
Theatrical and musical manifestations, scientific gatherings and seminars often take place here, as well.
