This year's Sarajevo Evenings of Music (SVEM) will be held online from September 8 to 12.
The festival joins the global celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven with a concert on Tuesday, September 8 at 8 pm, where in the first part in the hall of the National Theater Sarajevo, Sarajevo Philharmonic under the baton of conductor Samra Gulamović will perform Beethoven's Symphony no. 8.
In the second part of the virtual concert, violinist Alena Baeva from Warsaw, along with Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko, will perform Beethoven's Sonata for Violin and Piano no. 3 in E flat major.
The digital festival edition will continue on Thursday, September 10, at 8 pm with a concert by Bosnian guitarist Sanel Redžić from the Church of St. Nikolai and Jakob in Erfurt (Germany), who will perform works by Bach, de Falla, Weiss, Tarrega ...
The finale of the virtual edition of the Festival is reserved for Saturday, September 12, at 7 pm when the soloists of the Opera of the National Theater in Sarajevo Aida Čorbadžić, soprano, Amila Ravkić, mezzo-soprano, Amir Saračević, tenor, and Ivan Šarić will perform at Susan Sontag-Pozorišni trg , bass, with the Opera Choir of the National Theater and the Sarajevo Philharmonic, and under the baton of conductor maestro Ivo Lipanović and directed by Dino Mustafić to perform the famous Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
