This establishment first got started way back in 1964 when the Bosnian café-bar called Staklo opened in this same location, serving mostly Sarajevo students who would take a break from studying at Vijećnica. As it nurtures Bosnian traditions, this eatery acquired a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Sarajevo and is often recommended to all tourists.
The restaurant's menu includes soup, dolma (stuffed vegetables), sahan, Bosnian ravioli, chicken, plus other national and international dishes and you'll find many other different items among the daily specials. There is also a wide selection of warm and refreshing beverages.
The restaurant was completely renovated in 2015, so you'll be met by a modern and sophisticated ambience. Designed to retain a Bosnian tradition, it gives the restaurant a certain warmth and transforms it into a place where you can rest and enjoy yourself, far from the hectic modern life.
Staklo is located in the heart of Baščaršija, on a street that connects Vijećnica and Baščaršija Square, not far from the city's many attractions, museums, cultural-historical objects...
