This year marks the 26th edition of SVEM and it will see two worldwide musical commemorations, one celebrating 250 years since the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, and the other marking 100 years since the death of Max Bruch.

The Beethoven jubilee will be marked by a solo performance by Russian violinist Alena Baeva as she performs Violin Concerto in D Major, and the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform Symphony 5 and Symphony 8.

This year’s SVEM will commemorate 100 years since Max Bruch’s death and will see Sergej Krylov, the celebrated Russian violinist and conductor, play the famous Violin Concerto in G Minor.

The diverse solo program – which will feature classical guitar performances, chamber music events, as well as soul and gospel – has also been announced. Our best guitarist, Sanel Redžić, will also be performing, as will the famous vocal quartet, New Swing Quartet.

The famous Ranko Rihtman will be holding workshops on jazz harmony and jazz arrangements.

Concert tickets are available for purchase at the National Theater’s ticket office every day (except Sunday), from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
