Four-seater and six-seater lifts soon to be operational on Mt. Bjelašnica

Work on the installation of a vertical transport system on Bjelašnica is coming to a close. Those who visit this Olympic beauty will soon be able to enjoy a ride in a four-seater or six-seater ski lift.

The lifts will run from Babin Do to the intermediate station at a speed of six kilometers per hour, shortening the ride (which currently takes 13 minutes) to 5.5 minutes.

The four-seater runs from the intermediate station to the peak of Bjelašnica and, with 21 baskets, it can transport 500-600 skiers per hour.

The pipes have already been laid for the artificial snow machines, so Bjelašnica can easily find itself covered beneath a layer of white within 48 hours. This will help to extend the ski season, allowing it to run from mid-November to the end of May.

There are plans for the restaurant at the top of Bjelašnica to be fully operational by next year. The ski run will also be widened and new lanes will be laid out.
