Museum of Optical Illusions soon to open in Sarajevo

Sarajevo will soon be that much richer for yet another attraction, the Museum of Optical Illusions, which will open its doors to visitors on February 12 at Skenderija 28.

2020/01/30

The largest of its kind in the region, this Sarajevo museum of optical illusions takes up three floors, covers more than 300m2, and young artists from the Academy of Fine Arts had a hand in the decoration.

There are over 100 items and installations for all generations, some of which promote the cultures and traditions of BiH and Sarajevo, like Vučko, the mascot of the 1984 WOG, who will be serving Bosnian coffee.

The museum will have interactive displays, and visitors will be able to discover, on their own, rooms and illusions like: The Playroom with Brain-teasers, The Neverending Disco, The Upside-Down Room, The Anti-gravity Room, The Ames Room, RGB Lights, The UV Room..., and there's also a souvenir shop.

The cost of entry will be 12KM for adults, 9KM for children and students, 7KM for groups and 35KM for families (this ticket option includes two adult tickets and two child tickets).

The museum will work every day from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
