Presenting the Sarajevo Under Siege Project

The Siege of Sarajevo started on April 5, 1992 and finally ended on February 29, 1996. Fighting came to an end on December 14, 1995, when the Dayton Peace Agreement was officially signed in Paris.

This interactive web platform, which is available in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian, as well as English, Turkish and Arabic, provides a selection of documentary films, a photo gallery, interactive images, maps, videos, award-winning stories and information about the sequence of events as they relate to the longest siege of any capital city in modern history.

The platform offers a virtual tour of the Tunnel of Hope and the History Museum in Sarajevo, with panoramic (360°) views of these facilities, while also allowing for contents to be easily shared on social networks.
