The idea behind the project, which is overseen by the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts in BiH and the D-B Tunnel Memorial Complex, is to collect first-hand accounts from ordinary citizens about their time during the Siege of Sarajevo. The collected material will then be put on display at the museum. It is hoped that citizens of BiH will share their war diaries and other writings by donating them to the museum.
The number of diaries in the collection continues to grow every day and the museum’s next project is to digitize the materials and make use of them for academic and artistic purposes.
The exhibit will run until May 25.
