This was the first caravanserai in Sarajevo and it was built in the middle of the 15th century as a gift to the city by Isa Bey Ishaković, the founder of Sarajevo. The han had 40 rooms and could accommodate up to 400 people and 35 horses.
Today there is a restaurant and cafe with a summer garden housed within its walls. The cafe serves Bosnian coffee and the restaurant's menu includes a wide assortment of traditional Bosnian meals, different kinds of pizza, pasta, hamburgers and delicious Bosnian cakes.
