Everything is ready for the 5th Annual Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF), an international investment conference, which will be held in Sarajevo on May 14 and 15. This event is organized by BBI Bank and its shareholders, the Islamic Development Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.
The SBF serves as a platform for regional cooperation, as well as a place where joint presentations on the potential of Southeastern Europe, as a region, will be presented to influential business and political leaders from around the world. Over the past four years that it has been held, the SBF has hosted more than 1,000 investors from over 30 countries and more than 300 different projects have been presented.
As in years past, participants and panelists will be able to exchange experiences and perspectives on four themes that are very important for the region: agriculture, energy, infrastructure and construction and tourism.
A number of delegations of business and political leaders from around the world will be in attendance at this year’s Sarajevo Business Forum, including: the President of Montenegro, Filip Vujanović; the Crown Prince of the Perak State in Malaysia, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah; the former President of Slovenia, Danilo Turk; the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoğlu; the Qatari Foreign Minister, Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Attiyah; and Ahmad Al Sayed, Minister of State and General Director of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), one of the world’s largest investment funds.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the owner of the English football club, Manchester City, and Sheikh Kamel, Founder and Chairman of the Al Baraka Banking Group and President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will also be attending as SBF guests.
Something new for this year’s SBF is that, in addition to being made available on CDs and USB sticks, all of the projects presented by businesses and individuals from BiH and the region will also be available here. Information on the projects presented, as well as the site itself, will be sent to more than 1,700 business people from the region and from around the world.
