“Walter the Hero” exhibit now open

An exhibit entitled “Walter the Hero” is now open at Despić House to mark the Day of the City of Sarajevo (April 6) and 100 years since the birth of national hero Vladimir “Valter” Perić, leader of the underground resistance movement in Sarajevo during Nazi occupation in WWII.

The exhibit shows some of Walter’s personal items, and also looks at Sarajevo and surrounding areas during the time of the Second World War.

Visitors will be able to view this interesting exhibit, as created by Igor Radovanović, until the end of 2019 (weekdays 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
