Type: The Bridges of Sarajevo
The Malaysian-Bosnian and Herzegovinian Friendship Bridge, also known as Malezijski Most and Bosmalov Most, is a bridge that spans the Miljacka River between the Sarajevo neighborhoods, Čengić Vila and Hrasno.
It also connects one of the main roads in town, Bulevar Meše Selimovića, with Gradačačka Street and Bosmal City Center.
This bridge symbolizes the friendship between Malaysia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and was opened on May 31, 2005 by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohamad.
The bridge’s design was overseen by architects at IPSA Institute and was erected by the construction company, ŽGP.
This modern bridge has four lanes for traffic and was built parallel to an old pedestrian bridge, known locally as Treskin Most, which is no longer in use.
