Free admission to Sarajevo museums on Saturday, May 18

On Saturday, May 18, Sarajevo museums will mark International Museum Day and the European Night of Museums by providing a full program, complete with permanent displays and new exhibits.

2019/05/17

Most museums will remain open that day until midnight, and there will be free entry to the facilities. The Museum of Sarajevo will also offer free admission to its five annexes – Jewish Museum, Svrzo House, Despić House, Museum of Sarajevo 1878-1918 and Brusa Bezistan – from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

This Saturday, the Museum of Sarajevo will present its mascot – Puhko Puhić, who is always in search of things from the past, and will be revealing the wonders of all five museum annexes in an attractive and interesting way for its youngest visitors.

Those who attend will have a chance to have their picture taken with the mascot. The photograph will include a special frame with the museum logo, and children will receive a copy of the I Love the Museum of Sarajevo coloring book. The main character, Puhko, knows every hidden nook and cranny in the museum and safeguards its treasures.

Don't forget to add the #destinationsarajevo hashtag to your Instagram photos of Sarajevo museums, so that the rich collections of our museums can reach as many people as possible.

Here we have provided a list of Sarajevo museums, where you can familiarize yourself with permanent displays and new exhibits.
