The Husremovac Mountain Hut is about 30 kilometers from the center of Sarajevo and is situated at the foot of the mountains, Bjelašnica and Treskavica, putting it at an elevation of nearly 1,000 meters above sea level.

This area is considered an “air spa” because it’s in a spot where continental, Mediterranean and alpine climates overlap, and is ideal for those suffering from respiratory problems.

The hut is surrounded by many criss-crossing streams and Husrembegova Vrela, two springs, one of which is known for its medicinal properties.

The area around Husremovac is full of an especially lush and diverse range of vegetation and the meadows and plateaus contain many kinds of medicinal, edible and aromatic plants.

The mountain hut can accommodate 20 for an overnight stay and is located right next to a forest. It offers visitors everything needed for both short and long stays in nature, and the fine local specialities prepared here deserve special mention.
