Jahorina Olympic Center has opened its Poljice ski lanes and started up the Poljice T-bar lift to mark the first snowfall, so skiing will be free for all visitors on Wednesday, December 4, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On December 5, it will be possible to ski during the day (from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) on the Poljice ski lanes. It’s at this time that the special sale (starting from a 50% discount) on tickets will get underway.

The official opening of the ski season on Jahorina is set for Saturday, December 7, when visitors can enjoy a performance by British pop legend Bryan Ferry.

Starting that day, skiers will be able to make use of the 11 ski lift installations that will have a transport capacity of 17,000 passengers per hour, as well as the 45 kilometers of alpine ski lanes.

Beginning this winter, Jahorina visitors will be able to enjoy the newly opened Olympic Bar, which is situated at the starting point for the bobsled track.

As for Bjelašnica, all ski lanes are expected to be ready by December 10, and the season will officially open with a big party that is set to start at 2:00 p.m. on December 15.

Starting this year, Bjelašnica will reserve two lanes for night skiing, lighting units will be installed along the route for the Kolijevka ski lift, and snow cannons that are used to produce artificial snow will also be installed. You can see prices here.

We are reminding you that ZOI’84 and Jahorina Olympic Center have announced that they will be working together – starting this winter ski season, it will be possible for visitors from both ski centers to visit either facility.

Preparations for the opening of the season are also underway on the “youngest” ski area in Destination Sarajevo – Ravna Planina, where all ten snow-making cannons are fully operational, and there’s also Gondola, a restaurant at the base of the ski lanes, and Gondola Koliba, at the cable car’s top station.
