The most interesting events taking place in Sarajevo from April 25 to May 1

During the last week of April, Sarajevo will become a regional center for fun, because from April 25 to May 1 tons of music festivals and other interesting events will be taking place in our city, and here we offer a selection of the best ones to attend.


The Balkan Advanced Music Conference (BAM-C) will run from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27. The rich program will include venues at many locations around town and BAM-C will host the following big names from the electronic music scene, including: Dr. Motte, Kezz, Hibrid, Ida Prester, Ena ČosovićPEZNT, 84Bit, Haris Čustović….

Hana Bajrović’s exhibit, Theater Under Siege, will open at the National Theater on Thursday, and will remain on display until April 30.

That same day, you can attend the spring edition of Paints and Wine, an event organized by Balkantina, where you can paint while listening to pleasant music, and enjoy some fine wine and tasty delicacies.

Also on Thursday, Club Jedan is reserved for the First Fashion Forum: Rewriting Fashion/We Can Create Change Together!, which will bring together fashion designers, editors of lifestyle magazines, photographers and fashion enthusiasts.

And Thursday will see Spanish guitarist Rafael Aguirre give a concert at Dom Policije to open the 2019 Sarajevo Guitar Festival, which will run until April 29 and host music virtuosos, like: Duo Deloro, Alexander Swete, EuroStrings Artists, Atanas Ourkouzounov, Jure Cerkovnik, Corona Women’s Vocal Ensemble....

That same night, Sarajevo’s group Protest will play at Jazzbina as part of the Pop Art Festival, and Sestre will get you dancing at Trezor’s techno party.

Don’t miss the stand-up show by Sarajevo actor Dragan “Maca” Marinković at Cinemas Sloga on Friday, April 26.

The Sarajevo band, Letu Štuke, will give a concert at Dom Mladih, where they will be promoting their new album, and when members of the group, Dubioza Kolektiv, join them on stage, they are sure to make it an unforgettable night.

That same day will be an especially interesting one at Zetra Olympic Complex, which is hosting the big dance event, Red Bull – Dance Your Style & Brown Sugar RnB Special Edition. The best dancers in these genres will compete in various street dance disciplines.

On Saturday, April 27, be sure to visit the ARTlab Studio at Sime Milutinovića 12/II, where fans of fashion and design can see CONtemporary Showroom’s presentation of projects and BiH designers who work with clothing, jewelry, furniture, home accessories….

Saturday also brings us a concert by the Zagreb band, Elemental, at Aquarius Vils; and that same evening, DJ/producer Lèrr (Montenegro) and DJ Emir Kaltak Calkins (Sarajevo) will be preparing a joint set at Silver & Smoke.

On Monday, April 29, be sure to visit BIS, where young Sarajevo actors will put on their graduation performance, Murlin Murlo.

And the big Ramadan Concert performed by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra will be held on Tuesday, April 30 at the National Theater.
