Cooking workshops for tourists and performances by cultural-arts associations will be organized on the plaza in front of Skenderija Center (October 25, 26 and 31) as part of the Sunny Side of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina project.
The Sarajevo Tourism Festival will be running at KSC Skenderija until October 26. As part of this event, on Thursday, October 25, Dom Mladih will be hosting the Gastronomy and Development of Tourist Destination Conference.
Also on Thursday, October 25, the French Institute in BiH will be opening the exhibit, France eMotion, at Gazi Husrev Bey’s Khaneqah (on display until October 31). That same day, Aranea, an exhibit of works by painter Josip Mijić, will open at the National Gallery of BiH and run until November 8.
If you love hip hop, then don’t miss Hip Hop Night by Red Bull at Underground (Thursday, October 25), where Kontra/Shtuka&Shtela, Makka, Nakea and DJ Merskoon will be in charge of providing hours of good fun.
The three-day POP UP Sarajevo festival will be held from October 25 to 27 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kriterion Art Cinema and the Historical Museum of BiH. Aimed at visual arts and design students, as well as all young creative types, the festival will include many interesting workshops, lectures and parties….
If you’ve never had a chance to break a Guinness World Record, you can do so on Friday, October 26, when Sarajevo Tourism Festival participants will try to set a new world record by serving 13,000 crêpes on Skenderija plateau.
You can enjoy culinary treats and works of art at the Sarajevo restaurant, 4 Sobe Gospođe Safije, where Belgrade painter Mihajlo Miša Kravce’s exhibit, It’s Time for the Beautiful, will be on display from this Friday until the end of the year.
In order to mark the approach of Halloween, Kino Bosna will be holding its Mucha Lucha – Dia De Los Muertos & Halloween Party this Friday. The visitor with the best mask will win €1000.
Also this Friday, Sarajevo Coloseum Club will be throwing a great party, Welcome to Wonderland, to celebrate its 16th birthday. That same night, the popular hip hop group TBF from Split will be lining up some great fun at Aquarius Vils, and Silver & Smoke will be hosting Croatian DJ Toni Juranović, a multi-instrumentalist and resident DJ at Deep Club in Makarska.
You can rest up after these many parties by attending some sporting and cultural events on Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 27 and 28), because the weekend will see the 2018 Bosna Piccolo Cup. The 5th edition of this swim meeting is to be held at Otoka Olympic Swimming Pool. There’s also the Balkan Health & Fitness Summit at Vistafon Sport Club.
Saturday evening is theater night, so you can again enjoy a top international opera performance at Chamber Theater 55, with its live in HD streaming of the New York Metropolitan Opera’s performance of The Girl of the Golden West, as directed by Giancarlo del Monaco. That same night, the premier of Gazi Husrev-beže: ili Bukagije, directed by Gradimir Gojer, will be put on at the National Theater.
Sunday, October 28 is a great day to relax with some comedy, and we recommend the monodrama, What on Earth Has Happened to Me?, a piece performed by the outstanding Serbian actress, Anđelka Prpić, at the Bosnian Cultural Center.
Don’t miss the opening of The USA in the BiH Press up to the Beginning of the Great War at the Historical Museum on Monday, October 29. The exhibit has been organized by Mediacentar Sarajevo and Infobiro and will display news articles from the USA as published in old BiH newspapers. The exhibit will run until November 4.
On Tuesday, October 30, Sarajevo soloists and the choir of the NPS Opera will be performing W.A. Mozart’s Requiem at the National Theater, accompanied by the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Josip Šego.
Be sure to visit Sunnyland on Wednesday, October 31, and enjoy a view of the city while your little ones have fun at the painting workshop in the play room.
