On Thursday, December 20, the Čerkez Karasevdah Band will perform at the Carlsberg Holiday Pub, a venue that opened in Hastahana Park on December 5, 2018 and will continue to operate until January 13, 2019 as part of the Coca-Cola Sarajevo Holiday Market. In addition to the Sarajevo Holiday Duo (which plays here every afternoon), you can also catch the following bands at the pub over the coming days: The Babe Barbarella ESFF, Gliša Gipsy Band, She’s Breeze, Evropa Band, Pochko i New Primitives....

Also on Thursday (Dec. 20), the Historical Museum of BiH will host the 9th Annual Club Photo Exhibition by the Valter Photo Club, which will be available for viewing until December 27.
That same day, dance lovers can enjoy a performance by the Balkan Dance Project at Youth Theater. This international dance platform uses the universal language of dance, music and theater to bring together prospective choreographers, dancers and other artists from around the region.

This time of year is brimming with festive Christmas programs, so don’t miss the Pontanima Choir’s Christmas concert on Thursday. This event is being organized by the German Embassy in BiH and will be held at St. Vinko Paulski Church (Maršala Tita 42).
If you have never had a chance to visit the lovely Vrhbosna Theological Seminary, you will be able to do so that same day (Dec. 20) by attending the play, Kao nikad pred Božić.
The evening will finish with Boris Novković’s concert at KSC Skenderija. This Sarajevo pop singer now resides in Zagreb.
On Friday, December 21, you can make some youngsters happy with the New Year’s Party, complete with Santa Claus and plenty of surprises. This event is being organized by the French Institute in BiH in their building, for children ages 3 to 12.

We recommend that film lovers visit Meeting Point Cinema that same day for the International Day of Short Films. This event will see screenings of films (with subtitles in English) by BiH filmmakers.
Recent movie Bohemian Rhapsody has gotten everyone into the group, Queen, again. The hits played by the Queen Real Tribute Band on Friday at Aquarius Vils will remind you of the original group.

The best way to start the weekend is with laughter, because on Friday you can choose between two stand-up comedy shows by Serbian comedian Srđan Slijepčević. There’s Wait, I’ll do it, an act that he does at Monument; and Me, the Bosnian, a play put on at Coloseum Club.
If you love rock music, be sure not to miss the concert by the cult Croatian band, Atomsko sklonište, at Cinemas Sloga; and those who love parties should head to Trezor, where Berlin DJ Martin Landsky, DJ Jasmina, Sijah & Kolenda…will be performing.
This Saturday also has plenty of different events lined up.

The Kids Land Family Day will be held at the Novo Sarajevo International Center for Children and Youth on Saturday, December 22. This humanitarian bazar will feature an exhibition of the most beautiful works of art by children and delicious cookies, plus kids will enjoy watching shows, socializing and painting with Santa Claus, handing out presents….
The Friendship International Short Film Festival will be held at the Yunus Emre Institute on Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 22 and 23).

Kištra – the 6th Annual Winter Craft Beer Festival – will be held at the former Lukavica Culture Center (Radomira Putnika 100) on Saturday. You will have a chance to try different kinds of craft beers, and Shtraky and DJ Aya will be responsible for providing the music.
If you’d like to enjoy some mountain air while listening to electronic music, then be sure to visit the terrace of Vučko Hotel on Mt. Jahorina, where the Festival 84 – Open Air Promo Party will be held on Saturday afternoon. This event will see a performance by After Affair and G. Edd.
You can keep on dancing with After Affair that same night at Skenderija’s Dom Mladih, where the duo will be performing, along with DJ Claptone, Nebs Jack, Vuk Smiljanić, Goran Emkić, G. Edd...as part of the 2018 Winter Fresh Wave.
If you prefer pop music, the Zetra Olympic Complex will be hosting Serbian pop singer Saša Kovačević this Saturday.
On Sunday, December 23, the 2nd Annual Holiday Pet Market will be held in the newly-opened BIS, formerly Imperijal Cinema. This big humanitarian fair raises money for abandoned animals, and you can purchase some hand-made jewelry, clothing, food, toys, pet apparel, natural cosmetics…. There will also be a chance to win valuable prizes during the raffle, Santa Claus will be hanging out with the little ones and handing out presents….
Monday, December 24 is a great day for jazz at Jazzbina, where the terrific Marija Šestić (2007 BiH Eurovision contestant) will be performing with Jazz Guerilla. You can enjoy Marija’s powerful voice the next day (Dec. 25) during the concert, A Jazzy Christmas with Marija Šestić and Jazz Guerilla, at the Carlsberg Holiday Pub.
